Marketing & Communications for
Birmingham City University (BCU)

June 2019 - July 2020

I gained my first real professional marketing experiences whilst on my industry placement as part of my university degree. My placement was a generic role within marketing, within the higher education industry at BCU. During my time here I gained basic but crucial skills, to set me up perfectly for life after university. I was lucky enough to work on re-branding faculty brochures, where I worked very closely with designers. I was also able to obtain copy writing skills after reviewing the current brochures and re-writing it. I was also able to develop a basic understanding of CRM, having worked on email campaigns to encourage prospective students to visit the university. I was also able to develop great organisation skills through even management. I planned and executed many in person and online postgraduate open days and open evenings, which drove student recruitment and applications.

Email Marketing for
Aqua Sana UK & Ireland

May 2022 - Present

During my early stages at Center Parcs I worked a lot on Aqua Sana emails. Aqua Sana is a spa escape located within all Center Parcs locations. You can visit as part of your break or on a spa day or spa break. The brand sits within the Center Parcs business. Having a separate brand and audience to build emails for gave me the ability to produce work for two different brands at the same time which allowed me to develop multitasking skills, as well as the ability to deliver for two separate brands at the same time.

Email Marketing for
Center Parcs UK & Ireland

May 2022 - Present

Most of my email marketing experience comes from working on the Center Parcs brand. I have dived into a lot of work during my time here and it has been my proudest period of my career to date. I have been heavily involved in content and contact strategy and it's the one thing I enjoy most about email marketing. Since owning this piece of work, over time there has been continuous improvement of email metrics. This has been enhanced through analysing campaign performance on a weekly basis and driving customer insights to help continuously change email design and targeting to achieve stronger performance, and in turn drive more bookings and revenue.

Email Marketing for
Ralph Lauren

June 2021 - May 2022

As part of my work at Ralph Lauren, I led the creation and implementation of a successful email marketing campaigns on a weekly basis, delivering, on average, three emails every two weeks, across several sub-brands and many different segments across the Ralph Lauren email database. This fast paced retail environment gave me key skills in being organised to meet the demand of deploying emails to align with seasonal collection releases.

 

Throughout my time here, I drove $2 million over 11 months through email sales, averaging $37 thousand an email. I also drove a healthy click rate of 3.5% through engaging and personalised content. This was enabled through the use of Movable ink. My experience here gave me a great understanding of email fundamentals as well as brand marketing.
